Taking their queue from the boys these fabulous ladies have introduced their own special style, adding extravagant fabrics, sparkles, and silks to the mix. Awkwafina
American rapper, superstar and actress Awkwafina wowed crowds at the Oscars when she suited up in a metallic lavender tailored Dsquared2 suit. The fabric of her suit dazzled onlookers and the front-pressed pant seams added elegance and length to her silhouette. With an exaggerated silk bow around her neck in place of a tie its possible that Awkwafina’s look won the evening.
Amy Poehler
Well, this funny lady wasn’t hosting any award show this year but she certainly dressed the part. Amy wore a perfectly tailored black tux with a ruffled black blouse and tails. To round it off she added a beautifully bold pearl broach on her lapel and dark eyeshadow that added mystery to the overall look.
Elsie Fisher
Actress Elsie fisher may be young but her fashion sense is surely timeless. The actress and California native put her best foot forward wearing this gorgeous three-piece Thom Brown suite. Deciding to skip the tie Elsie added a unique jeweled necklace and carried a practical purse. If this suit wasn’t debonair enough it was made of lush black velvet.
Jenifer Hudson
Jennifer Hudson dominated the red carpet when she incorporated a suit into her gown and wore a custom piece by Pamella Roland. Mixing a tuxedo with a ballgown, the actress wore a tailored suit jacket that had a dramatic train similar to a gown.
Underneath the train, Jennifer wore tight Capri trousers that complimented her figure. The look was completed with a large belt with a silver buckle.
