Meet The Chef
Chef Kira was born and raised within a family of chefs and from a young age, she found herself joining the farm to table movement with a focus on vegan cooking. She has worked in Europe and Morocco in order to learn about various cuisines with each culture offering classics that she has worked on adapting to meet vegan needs. As a trained chef, she is able to teach all of her students how to meticulously prepare food, plate it, and make sure that it tastes just as good as it looks.
Her cooking class is called Vegan Soulfood 101 so if you like your comfort foods then this will be right up your alley. The menu usually consists of a vegan macaroni and cheese, fried tofu with collard greens, and vegan banana pudding for dessert. Each recipe is provided for you so that you can take it home and cook it yourself when you feel like you need to curl up with some good home cooked vegan food. You may also find after the course that you can adapt parts of the recipes to put your own spin on it such as adding some heat to it.
Last but not least, you can go to her for your cooking class or she can come to you.
