The 5 Best 2018 Oscar Red Carpet Looks

As many of Hollywood’s elite wake in need of aspirin and a large Bloody Mary, the rest of the world waits with bated breath to see who made the best – and worst – dressed lists. Last night, in a flurry of velvet ropes, designer gowns, sealed envelopes and bow ties, the 90th Academy Awards took place. In our humble yet expert opinion, here are the 5 most wonderful looks from the night’s red carpet.
Gal Gadot
Wonder Woman did not disappoint her many, many avid fans. Gal Gadot looked like a shining star from some bygone Hollywood era wearing her glitzy Givenchy gown and a statement necklace by the one and only Tiffany’s.

Margot Robbie
The blonde and seemingly flawless Robbie sauntered on to the red carpet in Chanel couture with the hope of taking home the Best Actress statue. The gown’s off-the-shoulder embellishment paired with her bare décolletage and fresh face made for an effortlessly elegant look. Robbie lost the Oscar to Frances McDormand but looked oh-so-beautiful while she gracefully applauded her fellow nominee.

Jennifer Lawrence
J-law, the queen of relatability made yet another adorable faux pas at this year’s show. She was snapped hitching up her bronze Dior gown in order to climb over a row of seats in order to get to her chair, all while clutching a glass of white wine. Regardless, Lawrence was the picture of demure class on the red carpet.

Zendaya
The 21-year-old awed her onlookers in a deep burgundy asymmetrical-sleeved Giambattista Valli Couture gown. The unconventional dress with its Grecianesque cascading fabric offered something a little different. She adorned the look with Brian Atwood sandals and Bulgari jewels.

Lupita Nyong’o
The actress wore a gilded Atelier Versace gown that shone against her ebony skin. Her chic coif was inspired by images of Amasunzu hairstyles traditional to Rwandan culture. She wore the look as well as the unique hairstyle, like true red carpet royalty.
