Your Saturday Dinner Party Menu Sorted



If you want to kick back, relax and get into the weekend mood, there is nothing better than inviting your nearest and dearest to your humble abode, and showing off your kitchen credentials. So pop open a bottle of bubbly, turn up the feel good tunes and get cooking. It doesn’t have to be a mission, we have made it easy for you, so follow these simple recipes, and you are guaranteed to impress.
Starter:
Roast Chicken Ceasar Salad

Ingredients:
1 x 2.5 kg whole free-range chicken
400 g sourdough bread
olive oil
1 bulb of garlic
1 x 50 g tin of anchovies in oil , from sustainable sources
1 bunch of fresh flat-leaf parsley , (30g)
2 fresh red chillies
extra virgin olive oil
1 lemon
4 romaine lettuces
150 g mixed-colour radishes
1 cucumber
½ a bunch of fresh chives
Main:
Spanish Tortilla:

This classic Spanish dish is very versatile and easy to whip up.  It can also be served hot or cold.
Ingredients:

  • 300 g potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • olive oil
  • 5 large free-range eggs
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 clove garlic

Dessert:
Banoffee Mess

Ingredients:
1 carton double cream
6 meringue nests
6 sliced bananas
1 can/bottletoffee sauce
handful pecan nuts
Method:
In a huge mixing bowl, whip the double cream until fluffy, crush the meringue nests and slowly knead them into the cream. Next carefully fold in the sliced bananas, and mix in. Swirl the toffee sauce all around.
to finish, sprinkle pecans and some more banana slices on top. Place in the fridge until serving
